Project Overview

31 Chertsey Street is currently being transformed into premium office space in the heart of Guilford, offering a hotspot for a quick drink or bite to eat. The refurbished building provides workspaces, offices, new showers and changing facilities, basement car parking spaces including charging spots and a communal terrace at ground level and balconies on upper levels.

As part of the refurbishment of this building, we worked alongside Space & Solutions, where our team manufactured and installed lockers for the building tenancies. As part of the project, we provided 13 wet-specification Heated Z Lockers. Heated Z lockers offer users a designated space to hang garments which allows damp clothes to dry by the end of the day.

The stunning Heated Z lockers were manufactured with an aluminium body, stainless steel door frame and laminate doors. The colours chosen were Beige Nature from Helmsman standard washroom colour chart. The body of the lockers were powder coated in a non standard colour of ‘Stone Grey’, The cool tones complement one another, creating a refined and coordinated aesthetic finish throughout the locker space.

In the locker area, 6 of the Heated Z lockers were fitted with stands, and the remaining 7 Heated lockers were fitted with seat stand frames, benches without the slats, which allows the contractor to provide the slats. To keep the project sleek and uniform, the top cladding, infills and cladding for stands and seat stands to hide the gap between the lockers and the floor, which were in ‘Beige Nature’ to match the locker doors.

The locks chosen for the project were Lowe & Fletcher Nimbus Digital locks in black. These are a great choice, perfect for daily use, with an override key. The locks also look great as a contrasting matt black colour against the light Z Lockers doors. For the numbering option, each door was engraved with numbering in Arial in size 58mm, this creates a stunning finish that complements modern workplace interiors.
