Project Overview

NATS is the UK’s leading provider of air traffic control services. Each year, they handle over 2 million flights, where passengers travel across the UK and the North Atlantic as well as outside of the UK, offering services in parts of Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia.

For this project, we had the pleasure of collaborating with McAvoy Modular Offsite to deliver a comprehensive washroom fit-out package within the staff well-being hub.

Our scope of work included the manufacture, supply and installation of high-quality laminate lockers, Front-line shower cubicles, Island bench seating, IPS and vanity shelf solution. In addition, we also supplied and installed bespoke moisture-resistant, melamine-faced chipboard kitchen double doors and a precision sink cut-out

The specification of the laminate locker was 1600mm high, 300mm wide and 450mm deep. For this installation, the clients requested a mixture of seat stands and stands. This configuration creates a modern, sleek locker room aesthetic while providing users with the convenience of seating as they access the lockers.

The lockers were manufactured with an aluminium carcass and stainless steel frame, which was powder coated in Pure white from the Helmsman metal colour chart, while the laminate doors and end panels were in Dark Grey. All seat stands and stands were cladded with solid grade laminate in Dark Grey to match the locker doors and end panels, neatly concealing the space between the lockers and the floor for a seamless, cohesive finish.

Each compartment was fitted with an oval number plate positioned centrally at the top of the door. The lockers were secured with a cam lock and supplied with two keys, completed with matching number discs for clear identification and a coordinated finish.

As part of the installation, within the shower rooms, each fitted with front-line shower cubicles and island bench seating with hook and rail fixed to the wall. A coordinated colour scheme was achieved through the use of Dark Grey cubicle doors and IPS panels, contrasted with Brilliant White dividers, IPS bases, and flashings, creating a clean, modern aesthetic throughout the space.
