Project Overview
Harlow LeisureZone is a modern, welcoming environment where people can have fun, improve their health and fitness, and learn new skills, all under one roof. The facility features a state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool, three fitness studios, four squash courts, a health spa, a daycare nursery, a therapy suite, baby sensory rooms, and on-site cafés.
For this fit-out project, we had the pleasure of working alongside Absolute Office Solutions. Our team manufactured and installed high-quality Leisure Lockers, including DDA-compliant leisure lockers, and laminate Mini Minder lockers at Harlow LeisureZone, helping to create practical, durable and user-friendly changing and storage lockers for visitors.
The leisure lockers were specified at 1800mm high, 400mm wide, and 500mm deep, while the laminate Mini Minder unit measured 1500mm high, 1000mm wide, and 300mm deep. The locker height and depth were purposely reduced to meet the project requirement for a ‘floating’ design, allowing the unit to be securely wall-mounted while maintaining a lighter and more open visual appearance.
The carcass of the leisure lockers was manufactured with a curved single piece of aluminium, creating a seamless design that is easy to clean and highly hygienic, while also minimising sharp edges and dirt traps. Whereas the laminate mini minder lockers were also manufactured with an aluminium body and a stainless steel frame, which was powder coated in ‘black from Helmsman standard metal colour chart.
Leisure lockers at Harlow LeisureZone were produced in a selection of vibrant laminate colours, including Fuchsia, Bleu Turquoise, Lime, and Violet. The use of these bright, bold finishes enhances the overall aesthetic, contributing to a positive and engaging environment.
Each compartment was fitted with a black escutcheon plate, containing oval numbering for clear compartment identification. The units were also equipped with Ojmar 20p coin-retain locks, providing secure and user-friendly access.
