With the summer holidays starting, many schools are considering replacing or expanding their current lockers. Installers work considerably more quickly during the holidays, and they won’t interfere with your students’ education. Our team at Helmsman installed brand-new lockers at Newhouse Academy.

For this project, the school requested for essential school lockers with stands and sloping tops. Metal lockers with sloping tops are ideal for schools as they prevent students from storing items on top of the lockers, reducing hazards and stopping clutter and dust collecting. Additionally, school lockers are available in a variety of compartments, colours and sizes.

Our team manufactured and installed 278 four-compartment metal lockers. The specification of the lockers was 1925mm high, 300mm wide and 450mm deep. The lockers were installed with stands which were 150mm high. As a manufacturer, we can fabricate bespoke lockers to suit your school.

The doors of the school lockers were powder coated in a variety of colours specific to each level, while the body of the lockers was finished in our standard colour, ‘Smoke’. On the ground floor the doors were powder coated in ‘Skye, Rockpool, Ice and Pure White’, on the first floor ‘Purple, Blush, Ice and Pure White’, and on the second floor ‘Royale, Skye, Ice and Pure White.’ The colours used on the lockers were chosen to match the school’s colour scheme. The lockers all look fantastic and eye-catching with the different colours.

The school lockers were completed with silver thermographic numbering and Diamond locks, which allow students to use their own padlocks to use the school lockers to store books and personal belongings.
