With the summer holidays being one of the busiest times for Helmsman, many schools plan to replace or expand the amount of their current lockers for the new academy year. Installers work significantly more quickly during the holidays as there is no cause of disruption for students’ learning. During the summer holiday, our team installed new lockers at The Archbishop Lanfranc Academy. The Archbishop Lanfranc Academy is a modern community that takes pride in being diverse and welcoming to all students. The academy has educated children from its local community since 1931.

The academy requested sloping top metal lockers, with 4 compartments with stands. A sloping top is a fantastic choice for schools as it prevents students from storing belongings or litter on top of the lockers, and other benefits such as keeping the facilities clean, enhancing aesthetics and ensuring regular compliance.

Our team manufactured 40 four-compartment metal lockers for the school, with our standard specifications of 1775mm high, 150mm high added with the stands, 300mm wide and 300mm deep. The school lockers were requested to be installed within the classrooms.

The carcass of the metal lockers was powder coated with our standard colour of ‘Ice’ with the doors powder coated in ‘Smoke’. The lockers were completed with silver thermographic and Lowe & Fletcher combination lock 2800, which is a great choice of locks, ensuring belongings are secure as well as reducing the chances of students losing the keys to the lockers.
