Co-op Depot is a new distributor centre where they are responsible for warehousing and distributing goods for the Co-op network stores across the UK.

We worked alongside Uplands Retail, where our team relocated existing lockers as well as manufactured and installed 391 warehouse metal lockers, a range of 2 and 3 doors, floating front-line cubicles with wall-to-floor bench seating, and bench seating.

The metal lockers were manufactured with sloping tops. Sloping tops reduce dust and dirt accumulation as there are fewer flat surfaces for it to settle, as well as prevent items from being stored on top of the lockers. The specifications of lockers were 1925mm high, 300mm wide and 450mm deep, as well as a couple of metal lockers with specifications of 1925mm high, 450mm wide and 450mm deep.

The locker carcass and doors were manufactured from mild steel. The bodies of the lockers were powder-coated in ‘ice’, whereas the doors had multiple colours from ‘Ice’ and ‘Skye’ from the standard metal colour chart. Most of the lockers were completed with a master cam lock, and the three-door lockers were completed with a Lowe & Fletcher Nimbus lock, a great secure digital lock. The final accessory that was added to the lockers was silver thermographic numbers.

Part of the project, our team also supplied and installed floating front-line cubicles. Designed specifically for changing rooms and restrooms, these cubicles combine durability with a sleek, aesthetic appearance. The “floating” look is created by the placement of the cubicle legs, giving the space a modern and elevated feel without compromising on functionality.

All cubicles were in the stunning colour of ‘Walnut’ from the Helmsman laminate range. A few of the cubicles were finished with wall-to-floor bench seating, and one accessible cubicle was completed with a DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) shower seat and a large mirror. All the cubicles were fitted with anti-peep features that prevent people from seeing into the changing cubicles. This feature enhances both privacy and user comfort.
