Barnfield College is a further education college located in Luton. We worked closely with Chalk Creatives, which is a construction company, who are known for the fit-out for both educational and commercial sectors.

For this project at Barnfield College, our team manufactured and installed 75 lots of four-compartment heavy-duty lockers, for the students and the staff at the college. The specifications of the lockers were 1775mm high, 400mm wide and 450mm deep, additionally had bespoke specifications to meet the needs of the clients, with specifications of 1775mm high 446mm wide and 450mm deep.

The heavy-duty lockers were supplied with a sloping top, which is an excellent addition to the lockers as they prevent the growth of dust and dirt, as well as reducing the storage on the top of the lockers. The sloping tops were made from stainless steel with Solid Grade Laminate over the top in ‘Spring White’ to match the end panel.

The heavy-duty lockers were manufactured with a mild steel body and the door frame, and the laminate doors were from our colour chart. The colours chosen for the doors from our laminate colour chart were ‘Spring White’, ‘Mountain Oak’ and ‘Sand’, creating a modern atmosphere at the college.

The laminate lockers were completed with laminate circle numbering and Lowe and Fletcher 2800 combination locks. This is an effective type since it reassures students and staff that their personal belongings are safe and secure while being on campus ground. Lowe & Fletcher 2800 manual combination locks can be configured as a pin code that can be changed at any time, or as a private mode that can be set to one code.
