British Sugar Plc is a leading producer of sugar for the British and Irish food and beverage market, processing approximately eight million tons of sugar beet and producing 1.2 million tons of sugar each year. With one of their factories located in Bury St Edmunds, this project provided a fantastic opportunity to work with a local business.

For this project, our team manufactured and installed a wide range of workwear lockers, including garment dispensers, garment collectors, divided lockers and welled divided lockers. Modular lockers were used with a laminate seat slats on top to create a bench with storage underneath. All the workwear lockers were finished sloping top. Sloping tops are an excellent addition to lockers as they prevent the growth of dust or storing items on top of the lockers.

Clients requested colours of the lockers from Helmsman standard metal colour chart. The carcass of the lockers was powder coated in shade ‘Ice’ and the doors were all powder coated in ‘Forest Green’. Whereas the laminate slats were in ‘Grey Cloud’ from laminate colour chart. The staff lockers were perforated on each side to allow the air to flow through the lockers.

Garment dispensers and divided lockers are a perfect addition for industrial sectors as they allow employees to separate personal clothing, maintaining a clean and untouched from workwear laundry. With a modular locker in front of the welled divided lockers, it allows the employees to store electronic devices, and other personal belongings can be stored during working hours.
