Project Overview

The Bombardier office and airport in Kent provide aircraft services such as manufacturing of business jets, service and repairs and general aircraft expertise. This modern office and manufacturing space aligns with the high-quality business jets they produce.

Helmsman manufactured, delivered and installed 172 two compartment heavy-duty laminate lockers with welled locker doors. The locker specifications are standard 1775 high, 300 wide and 450 deep, and the locker body is mild steel painted in Helmsman classic ‘ice’ colour.

The client chose the neutral Greenlam Primeval Oak solid grade laminate door colour to match the light aesthetics of the room. Sloped top panels, end panels and bench seating are all manufactured from the same laminate to create a nice flow throughout the room. Each bank of laminate lockers has an integrated cantilever bench running across it, which is a great space-saving solution.

Simple white number disks decorate each locker door, keeping it in line with the neutral look. L&F Camlocks sit just underneath each number disk. These locks are easy to use, and each staff member can have their own allocated locker and key to keep their items secure.

This locker room is an ideal space for staff and visitors. The bright area and durable lockers work well together. We are pleased with the overall result and look forward to working with Pure Office Solutions soon.

Project Overview

The grade II listed structure, once a warehouse, is now a mixed-use building. The building accommodates office space, restaurants, shops and flats for Londoners. Situated on the south bank of the River Thames, this unique building took on a refurbishment over six floors across all three buildings and the basement.

Helmsman had the luxury to manufacture, deliver and install around 180 Z lockers and several benches to commuter washrooms and changing rooms. The client requested wet area Z type lockers, which we provided in heavy-duty aluminium and stainless steel powder-coated bodies and solid grade laminate Z doors. The client choice of colour for the body was the standard ‘ice’ and, the laminate door was Grey Maple (619) from our Abet Laminati collection. Z locker sizes were bespoke to comply with the space. The sizes are 1800H x 378W x 450D + 1mm rivets and 1800H x 298W x 450D + 2mm rivets and end panels to match the lockers.

The majority of the lockers are with standard cam locks, and 44 of the Z lockers are with a keyless operation of the Ojmar OCS Pro locks for security and sleek design. These locks have a digital keypad with an integrated handle. In these uncertain times, these locks are hygienic and easy to upkeep.

Bespoke bench seating with shoe tray underneath, manufactured from hardwood slats, complement the lockers. The client specifically requested to have these made from hardwood which matches the laminate locker colour.

Project Overview

Helmsman Z Lockers, 4 compartments Heavy Duty Laminate Lockers and Inline Cubicles were supplied, delivered and installed by Helmsman professionals in an office building in Cambridge. Our new range of cubicles went into both male and female shower rooms with seat stands attached to bespoke slopping top Z Lockers suitable for wet environments. Bespoke privacy panels and benches were supplied in each cubicle to keep the bench clear of the water. The bespoke 4 compartment Heavy Duty Lockers were used in the drying room, they were all perforated to allow ventilation. Natural Ash laminate was used across all of our Lockers and Inline Cubicles. Overall this Z lockers and cubicles project was a success as our client was extremely happy with the finished result. This project allowed us to showcase our bespoke manufacturing skills and our Z lockers and our new range of cubicles.

Project Overview 

Glass Lockers can give a luxury and modern feel to any type of space; this is exactly what it has done for Eos Interiors Ltd office corridors. As a result, we used the space wisely to install the lockers in the office corridors to give the imbedded look.

Helmsman has manufactured and supplied three-compartment luxury Glass Lockers that have been installed in Birmingham. The Formica storm colour against the white interior walls and Ojmar OCS combination locks give a modern finish. Special numbering plates were used to match the modern style. The Glass Lockers are floating in the middle of the wall thanks to our locker stands and cladding. This Glass Lockers project was a great success.

The corridor has curved walls, but this did not frighten us. Helmsman can deal with any type of space and requirements for any type of project.

When staff lockers were needed for Reach Printing we provided a range of solutions. We provided their night shift employees with a locker system to meets their needs. Reach Printing Services are best known for publishing one of the regional titles of the Daily Mirror. They also work with independent publishers and businesses offering design, print and distribution services.

So, whether it’s printing magazines or tabloid newspapers, stitching or trimming we are pleased to have put our stamp on this. Our lockers at Reach Printing are now supporting the process of publications making their way onto shelves across the country. This is something we are extremely proud of.

Working from a blank canvas our technical team provided a bespoke locker solution that met their needs. Each employee can operate a unit of 4 compartments with one key giving them access to a twin locker for storing their clothing on one side and collecting clean workwear from the other side. Two further locker compartments above this provide storage for footwear and lunch boxes. The sloping tops keep the room clutter-free and reflect the light around the room. At each end the design includes lockers for crash helmets; these bespoke lockers match the colour scheme and merge with the others to provide a unique managed system.
